Boldini painted mostly portraits and didn't marry until he was 80 years old. I like the brightness of this painting and the relaxed form of the two women. It is both lively and calm.
I found this painting at the Sacramento Crocker Art Museum, it is a loan by the de Limur Family to the Museum.
